It’s officially autumn, which means the days are getting shorter and the temperatures are dropping. It can be tempting to stay cozy indoors, but luckily autumn is also a beautiful season with plenty to see outdoors! Plus, you’ll often feel much fresher and fitter if you move for at least half an hour each day. It helps to keep your immune system strong so you’re less likely to get sick, and it boosts your mood. Say goodbye to the autumn blues!
Go for an Autumn Walk
Although autumn often brings to mind cold and rainy weather, it’s surprisingly sunny more often than you’d think! And what’s better than strolling through red and orange leaves in a forest full of autumn colors? Try to make time each week to get out into nature. For example, take a walk during your lunch break with colleagues, or go out with your kids on the weekend to collect chestnuts and beautiful leaves and create a lovely autumn table at home.
Take the Bike
Choose to bike as often as you can: when visiting friends, doing groceries, or — if you’re lucky — even commuting to work. Can’t manage to bike during a busy week? Then plan a nice ride for the weekend. You’ll find lots of scenic cycling routes online!
Bad Weather?
Try to stay active indoors. Think of walking up and down the stairs or doing some exercises using a YouTube video or a routine from your gym.
