Do you also have a list of New Year’s resolutions? Unfortunately, reality tends to catch up with us quickly. There’s a good chance your good intentions will fade into the background within a few weeks, and you’ll slip back into your usual habits. That’s a shame — and not great for your well-being.
Lower the Bar
But this year can be different. The secret to a happier and more relaxed life lies in simple things — small, manageable adjustments. And you don’t need to implement them all at once. In fact, it’s better if you don’t. The higher you set the bar, the harder it is to start — and even harder to stick with it.
How do I lower the bar?
Keep it small and simple. Take tiny steps — they still count as steps.
Sure, it may take longer to reach the finish line, but you will get there. And that’s what matters.
Need help? Try this: Every morning, review your to-do list. Then cross off 10% of it.
Got 10 tasks planned? Drop one.
Got 30? Skip at least three.
You’ll see that lowering the bar becomes easier this way.
Enjoy the extra time!
