The wintertime has begun, and the shorter, darker days can cause a bad mood, fatigue, reduced concentration, and a sluggish feeling. Sound familiar? Then read our tips to combat the winter blues!
1. Wake-up light
Consider getting a wake-up light. As it simulates the sunrise and the light gradually gets brighter, you’ll wake up more gently. Just like with real sunlight.
2. Vitamin D
Discuss with your coach whether a vitamin D supplement is needed. It can help with fatigue and lethargy. Our advice: always choose an organic variant due to its higher bioavailability. A bit more expensive, but well worth those few extra euros.
3. More movement
Exercise increases various neurotransmitters including dopamine, serotonin, and endorphins. And all three have a positive effect on your mood, self-confidence, and stress levels!
4. Plan a trip
Having something to look forward to is fun. So plan a nice trip with friends this month or invite some people over and cook them a delicious meal.
5. Say freeze!
Ever felt what -110 degrees feels like? You can now experience it for 3 minutes by visiting a freeze lab/cryo center. A kind of sauna, but cold. And those 3 minutes have an incredible number of benefits like more energy, less stress, better sleep, and faster recovery after exercise. We say: give it a try!
