It’s very tempting to hit snooze in the morning when you’re feeling tired. But repeatedly falling back asleep doesn’t help you wake up properly and actually makes it harder to get out of bed. It’s better to set your alarm for the exact time you need to get up and go to bed at the same time each night to build a regular rhythm.
Light helps your body get going. Open your curtains right away in the morning or turn on as many lights as possible. Try to also get some fresh air during the day.
Don’t overcomplicate things and reduce stress as much as possible. Try preparing for the morning the night before by getting your lunch ready and picking out your clothes. That way, you might even find time to meditate in the morning.
Eat enough and eat healthily. Not eating enough can cause you to feel sluggish and tired. Sugary snacks don’t satisfy you and can also lead to an energy crash.
Nobody can stay busy and focused for hours on end. Give yourself space to, at least once every half hour, stare out the window, do some breathing exercises, stretch briefly, or take a short walk.
